Irina Wagner is a public health specialist, scientist and adviser with a medical background and more than 20 years of experience in health system research. She has particular expertise in the area of primary care, social determinants of health, and quality of care. After working for 10 year in academia, she is currently doing research and advisory work at the Royal Tropical Institute, KIT in Amsterdam mostly focusing on health system strengthening in low and middle income countries. She also teaches at two international Master courses on social determinants of health and health planning at KIT. Irina has more than 40 publications in national and international journals.
